Press Reports
We would urge you to be fair and constructive when writing press reports for the local papers. Try to highlight the good passages of play, and be fair to the opposing teams.
Please be aware of Child welfare issues when showing pictures and naming players.
U7 & U8 teams press reports should contain praise and encouragement but please ensure you do not record the result of a fixture.
Example
In the Mid Devon league XYZ Under 7s played four games, they won two drew 1 and lost 1. Some great play was shown by all teams. Joe Bloggs and Harry Andrews scored two goals each and Joe Johnson scored another for XYZ. A special mention to our keeper Ian Bighands for his outstanding game against ABC. He pulled off 3 great saves against a dominant ABC side.
