Moors youth U9 pull their third team Moors Youth from the Cup. Although Sad Coach Lee Parsons tells me we are strugling for numbers that day due to a large Rugby event and we could only muster 5 players at best, however we will still be sending our other two teams down to Plymouth to compete.

SK Plymouth in an organisational change have re constituted as AC Plymouth with the Devon FA

Ladies Under 14 get under way with a 3 team round robin held at Moors Youth. Great to see so many smiles on the competitors faces as all three matches were keenly fought. Football was the real winner here. This was a great occasion and marks out the commitment the League has for girls soccer.

Phil Chant Mid Devon league Secretary hands over the roll to Paul Hunt (Mini Soccer) The league wishes to extend a vote of thanks and gratitude to Phil Chant for his commitment and dedication to the role. Taking the league from its earliest beginings to where it stands today. Phil who leaves for personal reasons will remain close to the league and wishes every one continued success.

Culm United enter a team into the Under 9s

Under 8s team Ivybridge pull away from their club and affliate themselves to the FA as SK Plymouth, good luck to them this season as they have made it clear from the start that they see the Mid Devon league as their priority. Nigel Cross of SK Plymouth has set up the new club in order to play in this league is looking forward to the new season.

Twyford Spartans request permission to enter a team into the Under 7s with a new manager Vicki Sewell. We wish her every success and I hope you will all lend your support, Fixtures have now been arranged to allow this to take place.

Sad news at Cullompton as Theifs strike. The goals that Cullompton use for Mini soccer have been stolen from the ground, The estimated cost £1,000. If anybody hears of cheap goals for sale or has any information please contact the Police or Cullompton. In the meantime if Cullompton neeed your help with Samba goals please help in anyway you can.

Following the inclusion of Twyford Spartans into the U7s. SK Plymouth (Ivybridge) have now asked permission to join the league, Their request was accepted and the new fixtures will begin from 4th November. This will be the last inclusion for this season. The league would like to wish them well. and request all u7 managers to check the new league fixture list available on the web. The cup rounds will be drawn on Thursday 25th October and will be published shortly.

Re arranged fixtures are as follows

 

U7   Cup Competition 1st Round  Cullompton 27th January 2008. League Match at Moors on 24th February 2008 and League Match at Twyford on 30th March 2008.

 

U8   Cup Competition 1st Round at Moors on 10th February 2008

 

U9   Cup Competition 1st Round at Culm United on 10th February 2008. League match at Moors on 9th March 2008

 

U10  League match at Twyford on 17th February 2008

 

U11  Managers are to re-arrange their fixtures between themselves at the nearest available time and the situaution will be looked at again on 4th March 2008.

 

Fair Play Nominations for Devon FA

 

The league has been asked by the Devon FA to nominate a club for the FA Fair Play award. Managers are therefore requested to submit their choice of the team in their league who they consider merrits the award with a reason, one vote per manager the team with the most votes will be put forward into the Devon FA  for their consideration entries must be sent to the secretary by 8.00 pm 5th February 2008.
